AUBURN, Ala. - The College of Charleston equestrian team fell 8-0 on Auburn on Friday afternoon.
"We had a wonderful experience riding against Auburn Equestrian. Of course it was a huge stage to compete on, but we knew that going in," said head coach Natasha V. McCarthy. "We gained a tremendous amount of experience, rode more invaluable miles, and came away with more homework assignments for our newly developed NCEA roster. I feel really good about where we are as a team heading into the fall 2024 season."
Caroline Berg, Hailey Pendl, Olivia Lonneman, and Cate Hernandez represented the Cougars in fences while Berg, Pendl, Hernandez and Sydney Callagy competed on the flat. Charleston totaled 282 points on fences and 269 on flat. Berg posted Charleston's highest score of the day, a 79 on fences.
