van Wyk Leads Cougars at Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - Kieron van Wyk earned his fourth straight top 20 finish with a T16 placement at the Mason Rudolph Championship.

van Wyk played a 67 final round with four birdies and an eagle. His 67 was the second lowest round of the tournament, van Wyk's lowest round of the season, and his best finish this season.

The Cougars jumped two spots to finish in sixth place out of 14 teams at 12-over for the tournament.

Max Dupree was behind van Wyk at T33 climbing eight spots from his day two placement. The senior totaled two birdies on 14 and 18. Rookie Loran Appel matched Dupree with a T33 finish after a two birdie final round.

Charleston will return to play on April 2 at the CAA Championship in Dataw Island.
