CHARLESTON, S.C.- College of Charleston director of tennis Angelo Anastopoulo announced the addition of Connor Bruce as an assistant coach in September of 2024.
"Connor is a future star in the college tennis coaching ranks," says Anastopoulo. "His enthusiasm, energy and knowledge is limitless. Connor is exactly the boost our team need to be contenders for a CAA Championship each year. He is from an athletic family with Marcy (mom) playing on my first team, his older brother (Hunter) a member of the Penn State golf team and younger sister (Marra) currently a sophomore on the CofC women's tennis team."
Bruce joins the Cougars after five seasons as a student-athlete with Dayton men's tennis. During his time with the Flyers, he gathered four All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors, spending five years at the singles No.1 position.
Competing in 88 singles matches and 65 doubles matches during his career, Bruce achieved the program's second-highest ITA ranking in program history (No. 81) in the Fall of 2023.
While entering his first year in coaching, Bruce plays professionally on the circuit with an ATP ranking.
