
Cougars Look to Bounce Back at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The College of Charleston men's basketball looks to return to the win column on Thursday evening at Campbell. Action is set for 7:00 p.m. in Buies Creek.

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
STORYLINES
- Charleston, winners of 9 of their last 11, are playing their third straight road contest. The Cougars are coming off a 84-73 loss at Monmouth on Saturday in West Long Branch.
- Charleston sank 13 threes vs. Hawks, the second highest total this season. Deywilk Tavarez had a team-high 20 points and a career-high nine rebounds.
- Charleston holds the 15-4 all-time series edge between the programs and are 13-0 in the Division I era against the Camels. The teams last met on February 29, 2024 when Charleston secured the 2024 CAA regular season title with a 96-73 win at TD Arena. Ante Brzovic had 14 points and six rebounds for the Cougars.
- Chris Mack's program currently ranks 27th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (28.00). Individually, CJ Fulton is second in the country in assist/turnover ratio (4.45) The senior dished out a career-high 12 assists at Hofstra with zero turnovers, tied for the second most assists in a single-game in school history. He is eight assists away from breaking 500 career assists and becoming the third player in school history to reach the milestone.
- Brzovic ranks ninth in the nation in total field goals made (126) and 14th in defensive rebounds per game (7.35). He's notched six double-doubles this season and scored 20+ points on eight occasions.
- Four Cougars are currently averaging double-figures, led by Brzovic (18.8), Tavarez (12.9), Derrin Boyd (12.3), and AJ Smith (10.4).
SCOUTING THE CAMELS
- Campbell enters the contest 7-10 overall and 2-2 in CAA play, most recent falling to Elon on 81-68 on Monday night. Colby Duggan led Campbell with 29 points.
- Jasin Sinani paces the Camels with 13.2 points per game, followed by Duggan with 12.7 points per game. Sinani also controls the glass, grabbing 5.0 rebounds per game.
- The Camels lead the CAA in free throw percentage (0.785).
