
Cougars Win CofC Women’s Fall Invite

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won the CofC Women's Fall Invite and captured two additional top three finishes at the Open ACC Semifinals and US Sailing Offshore Championship.
The women's A boat collected 35 points while the B boat had 48 for 83 total points and the win. Jacksonville finished second with 135 points while Clemson rounded out the top three with 229 total points.
Charleston finished third out of 18 teams at the Open ACC Semifinals. The Cougar A boat recorded 54 points while their B boat finished with 31 for 85 total points. Brown won the race with 57 points while Harvard came in second with 66 points.
The offshore team raced to a second-place finish at the US Sailing Offshore Championship. Edgewater Yacht Club won the regatta.
Charleston is set to compete in the Women's ACC Finals and the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta Oct. 11-12.
