
Cougars Fall in Field of 68 Tip-Off Finale

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team fell to Florida Atlantic 94-77 Saturday night in the Field of 68 Tip-Off hosted by Liberty University.

- Charleston got off to a slow offensive start, shooting 16% from the field through the opening four minutes of play.
- The Cougars went on a 3- 3 streak from the field midway through the frame to cut the deficit to single digits at 19-11 before falling cold again from the field for nearly five minutes. Charleston made their final 6 for 8 from the field to enter the locker room down 48-32.
- Charleston came within as much as 13 in the second half but could not close the gap, falling 94-77.
- Jlynn Counter led Charleston with a game-high 22 points to go with six rebounds.
- Jaxon Prunty (13), Chadlyn Traylor (12), and Martin Kalu (11) all scored in double-figures for Charleston.
- Christian Reeves had a game-high eight rebounds.
- The Cougars shot 40% from the field compared to 49% from the Owls
- FAU won the rebounding battle 41-34.
- Traylor was a perfect 3-3 from the field in the opening half.
- This marks the first time the Cougars have lost back-to-back contests since January 20, 2024.
- Charleston returns home to TD Arena to host South Carolina State on Friday, November 14. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.
