Taylor Barbot Garners CAA Player of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Taylor Barbot garnered Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week honors after leading the Cougars to a 75-70 win at Florida State Sunday afternoon.
The Floral Park, N.Y. native had game-highs with 20 points and eight assists in CofC's win over Florida State. Barbot also added four rebounds and two steals as Charleston defeated a Power 4 school for the second consecutive year, and beat an ACC school for the first time since 2009.
This is Barbot's second career CAA Player of the Week award. The junior guard previously earned the honor last December.
Additionally, Barbot made the All-CAA Third Team last season and was named to the Preseason All-CAA Second Team this year. She is currently one of just 13 players to have recorded a triple-double during the 2025-26 campaign, and is in the top-10 in the nation in both total assists and assists per game.
The Cougars will be back in action Friday as they are set to take on Cleveland State at 1:15 p.m. ET in the Puerto Rico Clasico.
