WILMINGTON, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's basketball team fell to UNCW 86-66 on Thursday night in Wilmington. With the loss, Charleston moves to 9-4 in CAA play and 19-7 overall.

- Derrin Boyd and Justas Stonkus hit back-to-back triples to start the game and take a 7-6 lead. After a 6-0 Seahawk run, Charleston was able to hold UNCW to a 1-8 stretch from the field and come back within two at 13-11 with 14 minutes to play.
- UNCW took their largest lead of the game at 28-16 with just under ten minutes to play. Charleston responded with a 6-0 run behind back-to-back buckets from Deywilk Tavarez and a driving Ante Brzovic.
- The Seahawks held steady, entering the locker room up 46-35. Tavarez led Charleston with seven points in the half in his first game back from injury.
- UNCW took their largest lead of the game at 50-35 out of the locker room and never looked back.
- AJ Smith led Charleston with 14 points followed by Brzovic with 13, Tavarez with 12, and Boyd with ten.
- Brzovic grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
- CJ Fulton dished out six assists.
- Charleston shot 42% from the field compared to 52% from UNCW.
- The Seahawks won the rebounding battle 43-27.
- The Cougars caused eight UNCW turnovers.
- The Cougars will stay on the road and face North Carolina A&T on Saturday, February 15 in Greensboro. Action is set for 2:00 p.m.
