IHSA Began 2025 at Georgia Southern

STATESBORO, Ga. – Junior Olivia Welsh captured Saturday's Reserve High Point Rider and Sunday's High Point Rider while freshman Kenda Murray earned Sunday's Reserve High Point Rider in IHSA's first action of 2025 at Georgia Southern.
On Saturday, the team placed third with 35 overall points and fourth on Sunday with 30 points.
"IHSA had a beautiful weekend in Statesboro, Ga. at Georgia Southern," said head coach Natasha Votkovic. "The team rode extremely well, winning numerous amounts of classes. Unfortunately, our luck fell a tad short on choosing the rider points that counted towards the overall team score cards for the weekend. We look forward to our double header horse show on Feb. 15 and 16 at our home facility."
Charleston's NCEA squad begins its 2025 season Feb. 8 and 9 at home against Sacred Heart and Dartmouth. The IHSA team returns to action Feb. 15 and 16.
