Men's Golf Takes on the Hootie

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will play in the Hootie Intercollegiate beginning on March 23 at Bulls Bay Golf Club.

This annual tournament is co-hosted by Charleston and South Carolina. The Cougars took fourth place in the 2024 Hootie Intercollegiate.

The Cougars join Furman, Kent State, Virginia Tech, #18 South Carolina, Purdue, Western Carolina, East Carolina, East Tennessee, Elon, NC State, Rutgers, Coastal Carolina, New Mexico, Missouri, and Iowa in the field.

The team is coming off a 14^th place finish at the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach. Charleston played its best round on Tuesday with a 288 even-par team round. Sophomore Wayman Thomas totaled seven birdies in the round.

When: Sunday, March 23 – Tuesday, March 25
Format: 18 holes of stroke play on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
