OCALA, Fla. – Three-seeded College of Charleston equestrian was the NCEA Single Discipline National Championship Runner Up.

Down 4-1in the fences at the break, CofC stormed back to claim four of the five points in the flat to level the meet at five. With a tie, raw scores are tallied and added together to determine the winner. Dartmouth edged Charleston, 749.67 to 701.67 to win.

Kathryn McCarthy earned the point in the fences with a score of 66.7 before earning her second point of the day in flat (75.3). Sophomore
Camilla Murray (80) and seniors
Hailey Pendl (78.7) and
Caroline Berg (88) also grabbed points for the Cougars in the flats.

In its first season competing in the NCEA, CofC had a 9-4 record, won the ECAC championship and advanced to the NCEA Single Discipline National Championship finals.
