CHARLESTON, S.C. - The CAA Champion College of Charleston women's golf team will travel to Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Virginia for the NCAA Charlottesville Regional from May 5-7.
The Cougars enter the regional as the No. 7 seed, the highest seed in program history. This will be Charleston's 11th regional appearance in program history.
Charleston is joined in the field by South Carolina, Virginia, Ole Miss, Florida, UCLA, UCF, NC State, BYU, Princeton, Richmond, and Radford.
Each site will have 12 teams and six individuals competing for a spot at the 2025 NCAA Women's Golf National Championship at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California. The top five teams at each regional will advance along with the low individual golfer not on an advancing team.
Charleston won a CAA-record sixth league title on April 13, the third in the last four seasons for the Cougars. Charleston secured the victory with clutch performances down the stretch, led by Adrian Anderson with two of the Cougars five birdies on the final three holes, to help seal the three-stroke win over UNCW. Charleston ended the tournament 16-over, tying the second lowest CAA Championship three-day team score set by the Cougars with the 2023 win.
Senior Emma Schimpf and junior Adrian Anderson will be making their second NCAA appearance. This will be the first appearance as a Cougar in the postseason for Molly Hardwick, Emilie von Finckenstein, and Email von Glahn.
