RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston senior Emma Schimpf has been named the CAA Co-Golfer of the Year, highlighting the 2024-25 CAA Women's Golf Postseason Awards for Charleston.
Schimpf earned a pair of wins in her junior campaign and enters the NCAA Regional ranked No. 79 with an adjusted scoring average of 71.4, according to Clippd. The senior ends her collegiate career with seven individual wins, becoming the program's all-time wins leader. She previously was named the CAA Golfer of the Year in 2023 and Rookie of the Year in 2022.
The Daniel Island, S.C., native captured back-to-back medalist honors in the fall, starting with a 1-under win at Tot Farm Hill on Sept. 23-24, highlighted by a bogey-free second round with four birdies. Two weeks later, Schimpf put forth her best outing of the season with a 10-under par at the Evie Odom Invitational with an ace in her final round. Schimpf finished T5 at the 2025 CAA Women's Golf Championship with Co-Golfer of the Year Alicia Olsson from Campbell.
Cougar Head Coach Jamie Futrell earns his sixth CAA Coach of the Year honor after guiding the program to its third CAA crown in the last four seasons. The longtime head coach, who is in the midst of his 28th season with the Cougars, saw his team lift the conference title for a league-record sixth time. His 41 wins are the seventh most among active coaches in NCAA Division I women's golf.
Junior Molly Hardwick joins Schimpf on the first team after posting five top ten regular season finishes, culminating in a T3 finish at the 2025 CAA Championship. She ended the regular season with a 72.1 adjusted scoring average.
Junior Adrian Anderson rounds out the selections with a spot on the second team for the second consecutive season. The Murrells Inlet native led the Cougars with a second-place finish at the 2025 CAA Championship after sinking back-to-back birdies to seal the title for Charleston. Anderson ended the year with a 73.4 scoring average.
Charleston will continue its season at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional May 5-7.
