CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston lost App State in five sets (25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 7-15) Saturday morning in TD Arena.

Freshman Caroline Noonan and redshirt sophomore Deanna Dollar each had 15 kills while graduate student Izzy Marinelli tallied 14 attacks. Maya Winterhoff had a match-best 17 kills for App State.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST APP STATE:

Sophomore Emma Duffield had five kills, five service aces, four blocks and eight digs in the loss.
Charleston hit .400 with 15 kills in the first set.
Freshman Jumana Martin and sophomore Cole Crews registered 16 and 11 digs each, respectively
Dollar's 15 kills are a career-high for the outside hitter.

OF NOTE:

Charleston is now 24-8 all-time against App State.
Noonan is the first CofC freshman with at least 15 kills and zero attack errors since Devon Rachel on Oct. 8, 2015, at Elon.
