CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won the Charleston Fall Interconference regatta this weekend while finishing second in the Danmark Trophy and sixth at the Women's ACC Qualifier.

In the home meet, CofC's A boat earned 41 points while its B boat captured 43 points for 84 total and the top spot. Jacksonville (97) and St. Mary's (132) rounded out the top three.

The Cougars placed second at the Danmark Trophy, finishing with 149 total points. Yale won the regattas with 134 while Brown finished third with 155 points.

At the Women's ACC Qualifier, Charleston's boats recorded 85 and 48 points, respectively, for 133 points. Stanford (61), Cornell (96) and Brown (97) claimed the top three spots.

Charleston is back in action Oct. 2-5 when the offshore team competes in the US Sailing Offshore Championship in Annapolis, Md. Oct. 4-5 the dinghy squad will host the CofC Women's Fall Regatta while also competing in the Open ACC Qualifier in New London, Conn.
