CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston IHSA team starts its 2025-26 season Oct. 10-11 in Greenwood, South Carolina at Lander University. The Cougars will be joined by South Carolina, Clemson, Wofford, Converse, Georgia Southern, USC Aiken, Wesleyan, Furman, and Coastal Carolina.
This weekend will mark the first outing for new assistant coach, Alye Copelan. Copelan brings 12 returners with her, including junior captain Clara Bowman who will be making her debut in the Open division. Meredith Miramonti also returns, fresh off her Nationals victory in May in which she became CofC's first national IHSA champion since Eliza Hay in 2015.
"We are incredibly excited to kick off the IHSA season and see our riders put all of their hard work into action," said head coach Natasha Vitkovic. "This first show is an important opportunity to set the tone for the season, build confidence, and compete at a high level. Our goal is to send as many COFC riders as possible to the postseason, and we know this team has the talent, determination, and work ethic to make that happen. We're excited to get started and see what this group can accomplish!"
The NCEA team returns to action Oct. 17-18 for home meets against Sewanee and Berry College while IHSA competes Nov. 14-15 at Georgia Southern.
