RICHMOND, Va. – Grace Ezebilo earned Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week honors after two dominant performances last week.
Helping the Cougars go 2-0 and improve to 11-0 in CAA Play, Ezebilo averaged 11.5 points and an incredible 21.5 rebounds per game during Charleston's two wins. She also collected five steals, dished out two assists, had a pair of blocks and went 8-for-14 (.571) from the field last week.
In the Cougars 61-49 win at Campbell, the junior forward set a D1 program record with 24 rebounds. She also tabbed eight points, three steals, two assists and a block as the Cougars became the first team to defeat the Camels on their home court this season.
Then in Charleston's 81-61 victory over UNCW, the Nigeria native posted her fourth double-double of the year as she collected 19 rebounds and scored 15 points. She also had two steals and a block against the Seahawks.
This is Ezebilo's first CAA Player of the Week award, and it's CofC's sixth time earning the honor this year. Taryn Barbot has garnered the award four times, while Taylor Barbot has earned the award once.
