Women's Golf in Third Entering Final Round at Briar's Creek

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's golf team is in third place entering the final round of the 2026 Briar's Creek Invitational.
The Cougars recorded a 2-under team round and are 11 strokes behind leader Boston College. Jamie Futrell's squad sank 14 birdies, the third most in the field. After two thunderstorm delays, the tournament was moved from three rounds to two rounds that will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
Carys Fennessy leads Charleston at 3-under in T5 after the opening round. The rookie sank four birdies on the back nine including three straight on 16,17, and 18 to conclude the round. Fennessy currently leads the field in par 3 scoring (2.75, -1).
Adrian Anderson is one stroke behind Fennessy at 2-under, T9. The senior was one of six players to sink an eagle along with three birdies.
Charleston will conclude play at Briar's Creek tomorrow.
