CHARLESTON, S.C. - After a record-breaking season, College of Charleston Head Women's Basketball Coach Robin Harmony has accepted the head coaching position at the University of Pittsburgh.
Harmony earned the program's first conference CAA Coach of the Year honor after leading Charleston to its first conference championship in Division I history. Harmony earned her 11th career 20-win season – and third straight at CofC - as she led Charleston to multiple milestones in the Cougars' Division I era with program's the first NCAA tournament appearance, first conference championship, best start to a season (6-0), and best start to conference play (12-0). Charleston finished the 2025-26 campaign 27-6 overall.
"We are grateful for the vision and success Robin brought to the College of Charleston," said Director of Athletics Matt Roberts. "Since her hiring in 2019, the goal was to bring a championship to Charleston and earn our first NCAA tournament appearance. The 2025-26 season was the culmination of those efforts. We are grateful for all Robin gave to the Charleston community and wish her nothing but success in Pittsburgh."
Additionally, Harmony became the winningest head coach in CofC Division I history after collecting her 119th win at N.C. A&T on March 7. This is her first time being named the CAA Coach of the Year and it's her fourth career coach of the year honor – she previously earned the honor in 2018 while at Lamar and twice during her six-year stint at St. Thomas.
A national search for the program's next leader will begin immediately.
