
Anderson Named CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year

RICHMOND, Va.– Charleston senior women's golfer Adrian Anderson has been chosen as the 2025-26 CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year following a vote of the conference's Academic Affairs Committee.
Anderson has thrived academically at Charleston, compiling a 4.0 grade point average while completing her bachelor's degree in Biology. She has been recognized as a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar three times (2023-25) and has made the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in all seven semesters. A seven-time member of the President's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll at Charleston, Anderson has been honored on the Elite 18 list for having the highest GPA on her team in five semesters.
On the course, Anderson has earned all-conference honors during all three seasons, making the All-CAA first team in 2023 and the second team in 2024 and 2025. She helped the Cougars capture CAA titles and advance to the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals in 2023 and 2025 and was named to the All-Tournament team last season following a second-place individual finish (217/+1). Anderson has been chosen as the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week three times in her career. In addition to her collegiate accomplishments, she participated in the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2023 and 2025.
In addition to her academic and athletic accomplishments, Anderson serves on the Charleston SAAC Executive Board and is a member of Cougar Launch, a leadership and mentorship program. She worked as a research assistant for the Medical University of South Carolina Audiology Department and also assisted the nursing and lab staff at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. Anderson received second-place awards for Medical University of South Carolina auditory research at the 2025 LOWVELO and MUSC Symposiums.
In honor of her accomplishment, Anderson will receive a $1,000 stipend along with a crystal award.
Each of the 12 nominees for the CAA Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be recognized with a crystal award.
