CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston head men's basketball coach John Groce has announced the additions of Collin Terry and Austin Davis to his inaugural staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. Terry will serve as Director of Player Development while Davis will serve as Director of Sports Performance.
Terry comes to Charleston from The Pro Training Center, where he developed in and out of season coaching and development for NBA and college players such as Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, Ryan Rollins, and Ajay Mitchell. Terry was essential in Siakam's offseason development program, helping the current Pacer to his fourth career All-Star selection. He was also the head coach of Life Sports Pre-Draft, where he trained future top 39 NBA draft picks.
Prior to his time at The Pro Training Center, Terry spent the 2024-25 season as the Associate Head Coach at Utah Prep, where he recruited the No. 1 overall prep player and three 4-star players.
Terry spent the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach at BYU under Mark Pope. The Cougars finished fifth in the program's first season in the Big 12 after being picked 13th in the preseason poll. BYU defeated a program record four AP ranked teams, including a win over No. 7 Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse, and led the Big 12 and ranked 26th in the nation in rebounds per game.
Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Terry served as an assistant coach in the NBA G League with the Greensboro Swarm, Maine Celtics, and Northern Arizona Suns.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Utah Valley in 2021.
