Futrell Announces 2026-27 Women's Golf Schedule, Celebrates 30th Season

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The seven-time and defending CAA champion College of Charleston women's golf team has announced the upcoming slate of tournaments for the 2026-27 season.
"We have a great challenging schedule this year. The team will get to play at some of the best venues in the country while playing with some of the best teams in the country," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "It should be an exciting year for the Cougars as we try to make it three CAA Championships in a row."
Charleston ended the 2025-26 campaign as CAA Champions for a record seventh time, earning the program's 12th appearance in a NCAA Regional.
Futrell will begin his 30th season leading the Cougars this fall. The 2026 CAA Championship title was his 44th coaching victory.
The Cougars will host five tournament this year, including four in the Lowcountry and one in Asheboro, N.C. at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club. The team will start competition on August 24 at the AOD Summit at Quail Hollow.
Charleston will travel to the Mason Rudolph Invitational in Nashville and the Illini Women's Invitational in the fall before ending the early portion of the season by hosting the annual Edisto Island Invitational.
Futrell's team will open spring play at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Florida and the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational in Sarasota, Florida before hosting two back-to-back tournaments. The Cougars will play in the Ironwood Invitational before aiming for a three-peat at the CAA Championship in Southport, N.C.
