Noonan Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – College of Charleston middle blocker Caroline Noonan was named the Coastal Athletic Association Co-Offensive Player Monday.

Noonan shared the award with Hofstra's Beatriz Braga.

Noonan helped guide Charleston to a weekend sweep of Towson with 27 kills (3.38 k/s) on an impressive .520 hitting clip, highlighted by just one error in 50 opportunities. In another weekend battle between a pair of undefeated teams in conference play entering the weekend, the middle blocker hit .556 with 10 kills and three blocks in a three-set sweep of the Tigers on Saturday. In Sunday's five-set thriller, Noonan matched her career-best with 17 kills to pair with eight blocks and five digs and a .500 attacking percentage. The Cougars extended their winning streak to 12 matches with the help of Noonan.

The sophomore earned her second weekly award of the season after being named CAA Offensive Player of the Week Sept. 14. In her career, Noonan has six weekly honors.

Charleston heads back on the road to take on North Carolina A&T Oct. 2 and 3. Match times from Moore Gymnasium are slated for 6 p.m. and 3 p.m.
