Butler Adds Edmond to Staff

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's soccer head coach Amanda Butler announced the hiring of Edgardo Edmond as the Director of Video and Player Development Thursday afternoon.
"Ed comes highly recommended from multiple friends and colleagues," head coach Amanda Butler said. "He has served staffs with loyalty, creativity and hard work in the SEC and ACC. Ed will fortify our group in various areas with an emphasis in video and player development. We are thrilled to add another talented, young mind and problem solver to our Cougar Family."
Edmond previously served as a Graduate Assistant with the University of Florida women's basketball program. In this role, he worked closely with student-athletes and supported the coaching staff with daily basketball operations, including practice preparation, drills, opponent scouting, statistical tracking and game day operations.

"Coach Butler's proven track record, leadership and vision made this an opportunity I could not pass up. Before his time at Florida, Edmond spent three seasons with Florida State women's basketball, where he served as the Head Student Manager. During his time with the Seminoles, he assisted with practices, recruiting visits, team events and other day-to-day responsibilities within the program.
During the summer of 2024, Edmond gained national level experience with the NCAA Women's College Basketball Academy as an intern. He helped support more than 650 players and their parents by assisting them with travel logistics, registration, game operations and the overall execution of the Academy.
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida native, Edmond earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Florida State University in May 2025. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Sport Management from the University of Florida.
