Senior (2014-15): Appeared in 29 games for the Cougars, earning the start in 28 of them ... Averaged 6.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 46.0% from the field and 50.7% from the stripe ... Matched a career-high with 14 points against Upstate, shooting 6 of 11 from the field ... Junior (2013-14): One of the most consistent performers on the team, Hewatt battled through injury to play in 24 games during her junior campaign, starting 12 as the Cougars enjoyed one of their best seasons in recent memory ...Hewatt lead The College in scoring versus William & May on 1/12/14, dropping 18 points in a signature 101-65 win.
Sophomore (2012-13): Season-high 10 points in win at East Carolina on 11/17...Scored eight points in the Cougars WBI win at Northern Kentucky on 3/20...Grabbed a season-high four rebounds at Wofford on 2/25.
Freshman (2011-12): Played in 29 of 30 games during her freshman season... 14 points, six rebounds and four steals in first collegiate game of career vs. East Carolina...12 points and three steals vs. Charleston Southern...Scored in double-figures for third time of career with 11 in overtime game vs. Central Michigan at Tulane Doubletree Classic. Had four-point play in game at Chattanooga.
Prior to CofC: Hewatt is a 5-11 forward and attended Forsyth Central High School (FCHS)...At FCHS Hewatt was a four-time All County selection, three-time All Region honoree and All-State selection her senior year. In her senior season she led her team to a 16-9 record and their first appearance. Christy is the daughter of Carlyle and Connie Hewatt. Her father and uncle Sheldon Anderson played football for UGA. first appearance in the state tournament since 1986. She was named Forsyth County Player of the Year, MVP of the White County Tournament and was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee. She averaged 16 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.9 blocks per game as a junior. For her career she has 1,455 points, 503 rebounds, and 210 blocks. Hewatt was selected to AAAA Dream Team by Scout.com for her region. She was also named All-Region First Team in 2009-2010 season. For her combination of speed, agility and weightlifting skills she was awarded the FCHS “Iron Dawg” Award. Outside of basketball Hewatt also excels in track & field where she won the County Championship in the High Jump.
