Personal

Daughter of Gary and Catherine McCarthy.
Political science major at College of Charleston.
Volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program for five years.
Chose CofC for its amazing sailing program and amazing academic reputation.
Her athletic goal is to lead the team to a No. 1 national ranking and to win at nationals.
Coaches sailing during the summer months.
Her biggest influences are her grandparents, who encouraged her to challenge herself to become the best sailor she can be.
