Biography

2014 Sand Volleyball: Neideffer teamed with Darcy Dorton in the Cougars’ number one flight in 2014 … the pair went 2-14, playing against some of the top competition in the country … as a team they helped CofC to dual wins over LSU, ULM, Oregon, UAB and South Carolina.

2013: Second on the team in blocks with 0.80 per set ... ranked tenth in the CAA in hitting percentage at .248 ... CAA Defensive Player of the Week (9/2) ... tied a career high with seven blocks against SMU and against Northeastern in CAA title match ... posted a season-high 12 kills against JMU (10/20). 

2013 Sand Volleyball: Played with Kelly Kolich in the team's third flight ... posted a 4-5 record in duals.

2012: Had a breakout season in 2012, starting 30 matches and playing in all 34 ... ranked fourth on the team with 244 kills (2.03/set), hitting .270 ... tallied 90 blocks (0.75/set) and dug 70 balls ... earned Jayhawk Classic All-Tourney honors after finishing with a .415 attack percentage in three matches ... had a career-high seven blocks at Appalachian State (10/19) ... set new career high with 15 kills and .591 attack mark in SoCon semifinals vs. Samford (11/18).

2012 Sand Volleyball: Competed with the Cougars in the inaugural AVCA National Championship, finishing fourth ... posted a dual record of 2-4 while competing with several different teammates.

2011: Played in 12 matches and logged 21 sets ... totaled 19 kills with her season high (5) coming at Coastal Carolina (9/27), while also setting a new career high of 15 attack attempts ... registered seven digs on season and two blocks.

2010: Appeared in 13 matches for the Cougars ... sported career-high eight kills and hit .500 in win over North Carolina A&T (9/26) ... also had career highs in attempts (14), digs (5) and service aces (5) against North Carolina A&T.

J.H. Rose High School: Named the 2010 Female Athlete of the Year at J.H. Rose and was the conference Player of the Year as a senior ... was a candidate for the 2009 Gatorade Player of the Year and finished her career having led the Rampant to a pair of back-to-back North Carolina 4A State Championships in 2008 and 2009 ... she compiled team highs of 15 kills and seven blocks in the State Championship Match, winning the title and the state tournament Most Valuable Player honors ... she finished that season with 221 kills, 71 blocks, 114 digs and 26 service aces ... Neideffer earned All-Conference honors her final three seasons and wrapped up her career as the Rampant's all-time leader in blocks (225) and kills (807) and holds the program record for most kills in a match with 25 ... during her career, she helped lead J.H. Rose to four straight North Carolina 4A Coastal Conference championships and was named to the Coastal Conference All-Conference Team in each of her final three seasons ... in 2007, she was named JHR's Best Offensive Player and earned Carolina Region All-Tournament and Championship Most Valuable Player honors ... during the 2009 club season, Neideffer helped her team to first, second or third place finishes in every tournament, including top honors in the Monument City Classic in Richmond, Va. and at the Mid-Atlantic Power League ... her team qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals and finished 23rd that season.

Personal: Born on April, 21 1992, Emily is the daughter of David and Monica Neideffer ... member of National Honor Society, Latin Honors Society and Science Honor Society ... served as Editor-in-Chief of the Yearbook and was a member of FCA, Dream Team and Anchor Club ... currently majoring in exercise science.
