Biography
2008-2009
- Played in all 31 games for the Cougars and averaged 24.3 minutes per game
- Third on the team in scoring with 8.8 a game and in the top 30 in the SoCon
- Scored a career-high 24 points against USC Aiken
- Posted two of her three career double-doubles this season, the last against Georgia State (10 rebounds, 15 points)
- She had six three-pointers against USC Aiken, which tied a CofC Division I record
- Third in the league in three-point field goal percentage, as well as first on the team
2007-2008
- Started in 17 of 30 games and was one of only four players to see minutes in every game
- Averaged 7.4 points and 20.4 minutes per game
- Fourth on the team in scoringand third in three-point field goal percentage, as well as free throw percentage
- Her 38 three pointers made was second on the team, while her 40 steals led the Cougars.
- Scored 20 points or more in four contests, including a career-high 21 in a 71-39 win at Charleston Southern. She scored 20 against Appalachian State, South Carolina State and Elon
- For the season Kotcella posted double-figure scoring in nine games
- Had her first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds against Elon
- Had 10 field goals against Western Carolina
- Pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds against Wofford
- Went five-for-10 from beyond the three-point arc against Elon
- Was 38-47 from the free throw line for 80.9 percent
2006-2007
- Played in 26 games as a freshman, averaging 2.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game
- Had a career night against Lander, scoring 11 points off a five-for-eight effort from the field
- Posted a career-high 12 rebounds against Johns Hopkins
- Forth on the team in three-pointers made, attempted and percentage
High School
- Brooke was a four-year starter at Wren High School and started in every game
- Her team has played in the Upper State finals two of the three years she has played here
- She was the Region I 4-A Player of the Year and Anderson Independent Player of the Year in 2005 and was an All-State Selection her sophomore and junior years, as well as an All-Conference member for three years
- Named to the Seahawk All-Tournament Team
- Kotcella was honored in 2005 as a top five player in the state
- She averaged over 16 points and eight rebounds per game
- Scored over 1,000 points in her HS career
- The 5-11 forward has also played softball and volleyball at Wren and has earned several honors in those sports as well
- Earned four letters in basketball as well as three in volleyball
