2014 (Junior): Morello – a team captain – was sensational in 2014, helping to guide the Cougars to the 2014 CAA regular season title…Playing all six rotations, Morello played all 33 matches and all 132 sets for the Cougars…Offensively, Morello racked up 430 kills for the season on 1,263 swings (3.26 k/set)…Equally terrific defensively, Morello averaged 3.28 digs/set (420 total) as well as 61 blocks on the season…Against Delaware in early November, Morello put away a then career-high 23 kills while also picking up 17 digs…The following game against Towson, Morello threw down 16 kills and picked up 18 digs.
Sand Volleyball (2014): Morello played with Cara Howley in the Cougars’ number two flight in 2014 … the pair posted a record of 6-12 with crucial flight wins against Oregon and UAB … as a team they helped CofC to dual wins over LSU, ULM, Oregon, UAB and South Carolina.
2013 (Sophomore): All-CAA Third Team ... CAA All-Tournament after posting 13 kills and third on team in kills (2.34) ... averaged 2.41 kills and 2.42 digs/set ... made six double-doubles ... CofC Classic All-Tournament Team ... made career-high 17 kills vs. Northeastern (11/10) ... hit .500 with eight kills vs. Hofstra (11/8) ... dug 17 balls in season-opening win against UT-Chattanooga.
Sand Volleyball (2013): Teamed with Lizzie Theesfeld as the Cougars top-flight team ... posted a 2-7 record against the top pairs in the nation.
2012 (Freshman): Named to SoCon All-Freshman Team ... finished third on team with 255 kills (2.38/set) ... dug 237 balls (2.21/set) and notched eight double-doubles on the season ... earned Holiday Inn All-Tournament team honors after a breakout weekend where she tallied 35 kills and solidified a starting spot ... had a career-high 16 kills in a win over Davidson (10/27) ... registered career-high 20 digs vs. Chattanooga in SoCon Quarterfinals (11/17).
Prep: Came to College of Charleston from Nicolet High School where she was an AVCA Under Armor All-America Honorable Mention honoree in her senior season ... named the North Shore Conference Player of the Year and selected Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association First Team All-State ... the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named Morello All-Area First Team and the Player of the Year ... has been a First Team All-Conference winner since her freshman year and was Conference Player of the Year in her junior season as well as this past season ... helped lead her club to the US Open Grass Quads U18 and U16 championships in 2010 and 2009.
Personal: Ranked first in her senior class of 288 students as a member of the National Honor Society and the Dean's List ... was a four-time Nicolet Merit Award Recipient and a three-time Brady Foundation Student Achiever ... Majoring in communications
