In his first year at CofC, Morey helped promote 2025 MLB draft pick Jake Brink and CSC Academic All-American Caitlyn Callahan.
Prior to his arrival in Charleston, Morey had a ten month stint at Syracuse University, where he worked with the 2023 national champion men's soccer team and the Orange's softball program. While with Syracuse, Morey aided in the promotion of Jeorgio Kocevski, who was named the program's first ACC Midfielder of the Year, in addition to being drafted in the first round of the 2024 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Morey also successfully publicized a second draft pick, three signees and a CSC Academic All-American.
Morey spent two years as a graduate assistant at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., where he worked with baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer and swimming and diving. During his tenure, he also helped with overseeing all graphic design and social media efforts within the department. Morey was the contact when the softball program won back-to-back regular season championships, including the 2022 conference title. In 2023, Morey successfully promoted the baseball program's highest ever MLB draft pick, Matt Duffy, who was selected in the fourth round by the Boston Red Sox. He also aided in the promotion of eventual 2024 seventh-round draft pick, Jackson Strong. He assisted Canisius, Niagara University and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in hosting the First and Second Rounds of the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship in Buffalo.
During his undergraduate studies, Morey volunteered at the 2019 Frozen Four, assisting with social media for the NCAA.
Before entering the collegiate ranks, Morey was a media relations intern with the Buffalo Bisons, the triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays during the 2018 and 2019 seasons before working Blue Jays contests while the team played in Buffalo.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Morey graduated from Canisius in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in sport management before obtaining his master's degree in sport administration in 2023.
