Junior (2013-14): At times dominant, Hopkins made huge strides on the court in 2013-14, averaging 8.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 1.8 bpg en route to earning CAA all-Defensive team honors ... Saved her best performances for the conference season, scoring 19 in a home victory over Delaware, 21 at Wiliam and Mary and 15 at Towson .. Recorded nine blocks on the road against UNC Wilmington ... Scored 17 in the Cougars Women’s Basketball Invitational first round clash with USC Upstate at TD Arena ... Sophomore (2012-13): Led the Cougars in field-goal percentage, converting nearly 46 percent of her shots...second on the team in blocked shots with 31...Scored 12 points and added 10 rebounds and five blocked shots in win at Western Carolina on 3/2...Scored 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks vs. Wofford on 2/25...Had back-to-back double-doubles at Western Carolina on 3/2 and at Furman on 3/4.
Freshman (2011-12): Played in 26 games, making one start...Scored a team-high 14 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for double-double against East Carolina. 17 rebounds was fourth most all-time for single game in school history...10
Prior to CofC: Hopkins, a 6-5 center, attended Thomas Sumter Academy. She led her team to a 29-4 record last year as they went undefeated in conference play and finished runners-up at the state championship. She averaged 20.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 6.6 blocks and 1.2 steals per game her junior year. She has 1,140 points for her career so far, as well as 814 rebounds and 455 blocks. Hopkins was named All Conference MVP in 2009 and 2010 as well as being placed on the All-State Tournament team for both seasons as well.
