2014 Sand Volleyball: McKown played with both Maddie Hills and Grace Rebarchak in the Cougars’ fifth flight in 2014 … McKown and Hills went 6-2 while she posted an 8-6 record with Rebarchak … as a team they helped CofC to dual wins over LSU, ULM, Oregon, UAB and South Carolina.
2013: CAA Setter of the Year, first postseason honor of her collegiate career ... teamed with Taeler Davis in the 6-2 to lead all CAA teams in assists (13.08) ... led Charleston with 5.69 assists/set ... averaged 1.99 digs/set and posted seven double-doubles this season ... had season-highs of 30 assists three times ... posted season-high 21 digs against Northeastern.
2012: Set a new career high with 27 digs to go with 55 assists in a win over Wyoming (9/7) ... suffered season-ending knee injury vs. Arizona State (9/8) ... earned medical redshirt.
2012 Sand Volleyball: Competed with the Cougars in the inaugural AVCA National Championship, finishing fourth ... posted a record of 4-7 with several teammates in the first season of sand volleyball.
2011: Started the season as the team's setter, before coming on in a reserve role ... played 109 sets and notched a team-best 840 assists (7.71 per set) which ranked eighth in the conference ... finished season with a set percentage of .381 ... registered a team-best 11 double-doubles as she made 213 digs on the season (1.95 per set) ... made a career-best 60 assists in a five-set win over UNC-Wilmington (9/16).
2010: Played in 34 of 35 matches during her freshman season ... recorded 31 assists in second career game against Chicago State (8/27) ... collected a career-high five service aces against North Carolina A&T (9/26) and tied for third on the team with 16 total service aces ... had at least 20 assists in four matches including a double-double of 21 assists and 10 digs against Clemson (9/4).
Judge Memorial Catholic High School: Earned 3A All-State Honorable Mention honors as a freshman and earned a Second-Team All-State selection as a senior ... she served as team captain for her final three years and was named her team's Most Valuable Player following her sophomore and senior campaigns ... as a junior, McKown received the JMCHS Scholar Athlete ... as a senior, was selected to the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune's All-State Teams and played in both the Utah Senior All-Star Game and the Utah Valley Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game ... played extensively at the club level as a member of High Country Volleyball since 2002 ... selected to the Intermountain Region High Performance team that won a Silver Medal in Brazil ... she also helped High Country to a 24th place finish in the nation in 2009.
Personal: Born on June 17, 1992, Kallie is the daugther of Sonja and Mark McKown ... her mother Sonja played volleyball and softball at USC Upstate while her brother, Zack, plays football at Columbia University ... her father Mark played basketball at South Carolina Upstate and is the Assistant Coach/Player Development for the National Basketball Association's Utah Jazz ... member of 6th Man Club and served as Photography Editor for Yearbook Club ... currently majoring in sociology and psychology.
