- Graduated from Chapin High School in Chapin, S.C.
- Also attended Mooresville (N.C.) High School and Hardin Valley Academy (Tenn.)
- Captured county championships in the pole vault in 2016 and 2017 at Mooresville and was the Field MVP the latter season
- Set the school record in the pole vault by clearing the bar at 9-6
- Helped team win regional titles in 2018 and 2019
