Senior (2015): Indoor T&F - Appeared in five meets for the Cougars, competing in the 60m, 200m, 4x400m relay and distance medley relay ... Accrued two top-five finishes over the course of the season, headlined by a fourth place finish in the 200m at the Bob Pollock Invitational for an indoor personal best time of 26.07 ... Came within three one-hundredths of a second of breaking her 60m PR with a time of 8.05 at the Art and Linda Maillet UNC Open ... Outdoor T&F - Appeared in six meets for the Cougars, competing in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m relays ... Achieved a fourth place finish in the 4x400m relay at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational with a time of 4:11.60 ... Shaved over three seconds off her 400m dash PR with a time of 1:00.71 at the UNF Spring Break Invitational ... Improved upon her personal best in the 200m by three tenths of a second with a time of 25.37 at the Georgia Tech Invitational ... Narrowly surpassed her personal best time in the 100m dash with a time of 12.46 at the CAA Championships
Junior (2014): After performing well at the season opening Joe Hilton Invitational, Doucette put in a record breaking performance her second time out at the Tar Hell Open where she broke the school record in the 200 meter sprint…Broke the school record in the 60 meter dash at the UCS Invitational…Was a member of the record breaking 4x200 team who smashed the school record at the Shamrock Invitational with a time of 1:43.24…Also set a new PR at the Shamrock in the 100m dash, clocking in at 12.73…Was a member of the 4x100 relay team that broke a decade old program record at the Weems Baskin Invitational, running 48.63…Also at the Weems Baskin Invitational, Doucette set a new PR in the 100m dash with a time of 12.66…Was a member of the record breaking sprint medley team who bested the previous school record of 12:25.45 with a 12:10.65 display at the Florida Relays…Getting stronger as the season went on, Doucette again set a new PR in the 200 meter dash, posting an impressive mark of 12.75…Qualified for the finals of the 100 meter dash at the CAA Championships in Harrisonburg, Va., with a time of 14.80.
Sophomore (2013): Set career-best time of 26.13 in the 200-meter dash at the Georgia Southern Invitational where she placed 8th...Finished 20th in the 200 at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships.
Freshman (2012): Indoor: Part of DMR that placed second at the Dick Taylor Invitational...Outdoor: Ran a season best of 26.21 in the 200-meter dash at the Southern Conference Championship.
High School: A standout at AC Reynolds High in Asheville, N.C., Doucette was a three sport athelete, playing tennis and soccer as well as track and field...As a member of the soccer team, Doucette earned All-Region accolades...Was both All-Conference and All-Region in tennis from 2009-2011...MVP of track and field team her season season...2011 team captain of track and field team...Earned All-Conference honors in track and field while setting the team record in the 60, 100, 200, 400 and 4x100 meter relay.
Personal: Lorna is the daughter of Mike and Karen Doucette...mother graduated from UNCG where she played basketball and tennis and later attended UGA graduate school and is about to graduate from Hood United Methodist Seminary...mother is now local pastor at Barnardsville United Methodist Charge...father graduated from St. Michael's College and is a vice president/branch manager of Fidelity Investments...Lorna also has a younger brother and older sister who attends UNC.
