#articleRelated { display: none !important; } The College of Charleston recovered from dropping the doubles point to take four singles matched to defeat the Chattanooga Mocs in women's tennis action this afternoon at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

The Cougars improve to 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the SoCon, while the Mocs fall to 2-5 and 0-1.

The Cougars won the top three singles points, including Whitney Malina's 6-2, 6-3 win over Lucie Barney, who suffered her first collegiate loss. Charleston also picked up the fifth singles point for the fourth and final win.

Chattanooga won all three doubles matches to pick up that point.

The Cougars host Western Carolina Mar. 5th at 1:30 PM at Patriots Point, while The Mocs travel to Columbia, SC, to take on the USC Gamecocks Mar. 1st.
