The Cougars improve to 13-6, while the Chanticleers fall to 12-5.
Charleston won the opening doubles point, with Moreira and Maxine Capewell taking the number one doubles, 8-2. Coastal Carolina won the number two doubles but forfeited the number three to give the Cougars the point.
Charleston entered singles play with two wins under its belt after the Chanticleers forfeited the number five and six singles. Rachel Magory dropped the number one singles to Medina Bajrambasic, before Moreira came back to take the close win at the number two spot. Whitney Malina and Capewell each posted singles wins for the Cougars to give the team the 6-1 win.
Coastal Carolina travels to High Point for a noon match April 3rd, while the Cougars travel to South Carolina State April 2nd for a 1:00 PM match.
