The Cougars are both 1-1 on the season with the wins.
The women's team swept all singles matches and picked up the doubles point, taking two of three of those matches. Freshmen Priscilla Roberts and Chelsea Albertz earned their first collegiate victories this afternoon. Roberts swept Karen Bellman for her first win, while Albertz came back from being down 4-1 to win 11 straight games to take the 6-4, 6-0 victory.
The men's team started the afternoon dropping three straight doubles match to go down 1-0, but came back with victories in five of six singles matches to take the 5-2 win at Patriots Point.
The CofC men's team faces Hampton at 11:30 AM Feb. 14th, while the women face the Pirates at 1:00 PM the same day. The matches will be held at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Both the Mercer men's and women's teams travel to Birmingham Southern Feb. 19th for a 1:00 PM match.
