The Cougars improve to 5-3, while the Owls drop to 0-5 on the year.
Albertz ended up winning in straight sets over Lauren Verrall 7-6, 6-3, while teammate Maxine Capewell took a third set tiebreaker to take the number two singles over Yuri Kurashima 5-7, 7-6, 1-0. Rachel Magory won at number one, while Lauren Stewart took the number five singles point.. Temple picked up its lone point of the afternoon as Sharanya Pattabi took the 6-2, 6-3 win over Jenna Marks at the six singles.
Charleston won the doubles point with victories in all three doubles, 8-4, 8-1 and 8-2 respectively.
The Cougars are next in action Saturday, March 12th when they host Charlotte in an 11:00 AM match at Patriots Point. Temple hosts George Washington March 17th at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center. In an 11:00 AM match.
