The Cougars were scheduled for a doubleheader with Charleston Southern but that match was delayed due to rain. A make-up date has not been announced
The Cougars improve their record to 11-4, while Towson drops to 5-3 overall.
Three Charleston players earned individual sweeps as Gabriela Moreira, Rachel Magory and Priscilla Roberts won at number one, two and five singles 6-0, 6-0 each. Jenna Marks took a 6-0, 6-1 decision over Ashley Pietryka at number six singles. Chelsea Albertz won at number three, 6-2, 6-2, while Lauren Stewart won at number four, 6-1, 6-1.
The doubles point was won with relative ease with only three games being lost between the three doubles matches.
Charleston hosts Jacksonville State Mar. 23rd at 2:30 PM, while Towson travels to Bingham and Carleton at 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM the 23rd respectively.
