CofC Sweeps Wofford 3-0

Annie Uthe led the way for the College of Charleston hitting a match-high .474 on 12 kills and adding five blocks as the Cougars swept Wofford 3-0 (30-24, 30-14, 30-19) in Southern Conference action Friday night in Spartanburg, S.C.
Charleston (17-6, 11-1 SoCon) had eight team blocks on the night with Tiffany Blum and Sarah Voss adding to Uthe's. The trio led the Cougars offensively as Voss finished with 10 kills on .304 hitting. Blum, who also hit a .304 clip, had nine kills.
The Cougars were anchored by Marie Dobrenz with 23 digs. She also had four service aces. SoCon Player of the Week Lindsey Kane dished out 32 assists.
As a team, Charleston hit .190, while the Terriers (6-17, 1-13 SoCon) hit .039.
Lindsey Richardson and Sarah Twitty led Wofford's offensive attack with seven kills apiece.
Charleston faces Furman today at 2 p.m. The Lady Paladins (14-9, 10-2 SoCon) fell 3-1 to the Cougars earlier this season.
