Cougars Defeat Xavier 5-2

The College of Charleston men's tennis teams swept all matches to take the 7-0 win over Xavier, while the women's team won the doubles point and four of six singles to defeat Xavier, 5-2, in action this afternoon at the tennis center at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
The women's team improves to 2-6 on the year while the men's team goes to 4-1.
The closest match for the men today was a 7-5, 6-1 win by Marcos Digliodo over Jeremy Miller at number two singles.
On the women's side Xavier took victories at number one and three singles, but could not pick up any others and fell 5-2. CofC's Amanda Becker fell to Kara Courtney in three sets at number three singles.
The Cougar men's team hosts UNC Greensboro Mar. 4th at 1:00 PM, while the women's team faces Chattanooga Mar. 3rd at 3:00 PM.
