CofC Women?s Tennis Drops 4-3 Heartbreaker to Furman in SoCon Tournament Finals

The loss drops CofC to 20-7, while the win improves Furman to 16-9.
Furman won two doubles matches to earn one team point.
CofC managed to win three out of the six singles matches, which was not enough for the team victory. Anna Lee Evans gave the Cougars their first singles victory in the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Jacqueline Eckert of Furman in the No. 4 singles match. All-SoCon Second Team member Holly Dowse won the second match for CofC with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Lauren Tomory in the No. 5 singles match and improved to 18-2 on the year. CofC's Laura Borza improved to 19-4 in singles matches for the season with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Bonnie Baird in the No. 3 singles match.
