
Goudelock and Gerty Tabbed CofC Student-Athletes Of The Week

Goudelock led the CofC men's basketball team to a 1-1 week with a close one-point loss at Maryland in the team's season opener in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer on Nov. 10 in College Park, Md., and a 93-84 victory at Holy Cross on Nov. 13 in Worcester, Mass. He averaged a team-leading 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game against the Terrapins and Crusaders combined. Goudelock also shot 60 percent from the floor (18-of-30), a team-best 58.3 percent from beyond the arc (7-of-12) and perfect from the charity stripe (2-for-2). He recorded his fourth career double-double and nearly hit the game-winning last-second shot with 27 points and 10 rebounds at Maryland and had 18 points and dished out a team-high six assists at Holy Cross.
Gerty scored 19 points including the go-ahead three-pointer with five seconds left in regulation to give the CofC women's basketball team a 49-46 win over Liberty in the consolation game of the Sheraton Raleigh Wolfpack Invitational on Nov. 13 in Raleigh, N.C. She was named to the all-tournament team as the leading scorer in both of the Cougars' games against host North Carolina State and Liberty. Gerty, a preseason All-Southern Conference Team selection, averaged 13.5 points and 5.5 steals per game versus the Wolfpack and Lady Flames combined.
