CofC Men's Golf Finishes 13th at Rio Pinar Invitational

John Duke Hudson (Sonora, Texas) fired a 71 in the third round to move into a tie for 21st as the College of Charleston men's golf team finished with a 904 and 13th at the Rio Pinar Invitational at the Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Fla. Host UCF won the event with an 850 in three rounds. Charleston's 904 was just nine strokes out of the top 10.
Charlotte's Olafur Loftsson took home individual medalist honors with a seven-under 209. UCF's Brad Schneider was second wit ha 211.
Following Hudson and his 222 for the Cougars was Coy Breen (San Antonio, Texas) who tied for 23rd with a 224. Tim Mitchell (Austin, Texas) tied for 56th with a 228, while Harrison Moore (Orangeburg, S.C.) shot a 232 to tie for 74th. Cabe Prieskorn (Texarkana, Texas) tied for 89th with a 239.
The Cougars are next in action Mar. 28-29 as they host the Hootie at Bulls Bay at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C.
