The Cougars edged South Florida (60) for first-place honors with 55 points. Banholzer skippered CofC to eight of 10 first-place finishes in the A-Division along with sophomore crew Alexis Scott (Newport Beach, Calif.). The Cougars were one of 18 teams in the competitive north and south intersectional regatta field including Florida Gulf Coast, USF, Georgia Tech, Rollins College, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Miami (Fla.), Jacksonville, Clemson, UNC Wilmington, NC State, Eckerd College, Tennessee, Florida Tech, Florida State, Auburn and Duke.
O'Brien was selected as Southern Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row after turning in two personal bests at the Dick Taylor Invitational held on Feb. 12 in Chapel Hill, N.C. She broke her own school record in the mile with a first-place time of four minutes, 59.28 seconds and also ran a school-record 9:46.83 in the 3,000 meters breaking the previous record by 24 seconds.
