
Morello, Kosiorek Named Harris Teeter Student-Athletes of the Week

Senior Melissa Morello eclipsed a pair of milestones during the past week. On Friday, she recorded her 1,000th career kill; it came in the fourth set against Tulsa in the Hampton Inn Bama Bash. In the Cougars home opener on Tuesday versus Charleston Southern, Morello earned her 1,000th career dig. She became the first CofC player to accomplish the feat under head coach Jason Kepner, who took over the program in 2007.

Sophomore Crew Kosiorek finished first among his teammates and seventh overall for the men at the Western Carolina Invitational with a time of 16 minutes, 1.9 seconds in the 5K run. Kosiorek shaved over 25 seconds off his personal record in the 5K and finished first among his teammates for the first time in his career.
