ST. The Cougars dominated the competition and led both days of racing at the fall dinghy regatta to qualify for the Women's ACC's to be held on Nov. 12-13 in Charleston.
Freshman Alie Toppa skippered A-Division to a first-place finish with 11 points with sophomore crew Annabel Carrington (White Stone, Va.), while senior skipper Nikki Medley and senior crew Irene Abascal (Guatemala City, Guatemala) sailed in B-Division and were third with 32 points.
In the singlehanded lasers, Arrindell, the first female sailor from Trinidad and Tobago to compete in the Pan-American Games in 2015, finished the regatta with a low nine points, while Cole was runner-up (10 points).
