
Equestrians Travel To Two-Day South Carolina IHSA Show

CHARLESTON, S.C. – After opening the season with a two-point victory over South Carolina in its fall opener, the College of Charleston equestrian team will travel to compete at the two-day South Carolina IHSA Show on Oct. 14-15 at Three Fox Farm in Blythewood, S.C.
Saturday's entries for the equestrians include Elizabeth High, Jennifer Beare, Cassidy Hyatt, Addie Miller, Arianna Cacioppo, Makenna Grierson, Stephanie Hustad, Allison Bergmeyer, Olivia Moriarty, Dorian Cieslak, Shannon Rice, and Avery Jackson in the different section of Flat events.
In Fences, The College will be represented by Cieslak, Sophia Meserve, Madison King, Rio Parker, Olivia Baldwin and Hannah Showell.
"Quite a few of our new riders will be competing this weekend at the two-day USC IHSA Shows," CofC Head Coach Bob Story said. "We had great rides at Georgia Southern. Keeping that trend going is crucial to the team's success this season. Our riders have worked extremely hard the past two weeks preparing for these two competitions."
Last year, CofC placed first on day one and placed second on day two. Sunday's entries will include High, Emily Rees, Claire Gerwatowski, Alyson Bushey, Annika Vilcins, Molly Coyle, Grierson, Allison Pace, Bergmeyer, Christina Hayden, Annie Kuniansky and Rice in Flat and Showell, Cieslak, Sammie Barton, Cacioppo, Rio Parker and Beverly Davis in Fences.
