Senior Hannah Showell (Ocean City, Md.) won her section of Open Fences – the only Cougar to win a class on Day One.

DAY TWO RECAP
College of Charleston made strides on Day Two by tying Clemson as reserve high point team (31 points) to close out competition at the USC Show on Sunday. USC Aiken won the second day with 34 points.
Senior Christina Hayden (Edina, Minn.) won her section of Intermediate Flat, while sophomore Elizabeth High (Georgetown, S.C.) won her Walk Trot class. Junior Sammie Barton (Colbert, Ga.) won in Novice Flat and earned reserve high point rider of the day on Sunday. She was the only CofC equestrian to show in more than one division on Day Two.
"We had several opportunities to win on Sunday," Story said. "Crucial mistakes at the wrong times really cost us. We focus on mistake-free rides and really drove that point home to the team. Overall, we had a good day and are anxious to redeem ourselves at Clemson's two-day show next weekend."
The Cougars will go into their second-straight weekend show at Clemson with a one-point lead (93 points) in the regional standings ahead of Georgia Southern (92 points). The two-day Clemson IHSA Show will be held on Oct. 21-22 at Garrison Arena in Pendleton, S.C.
