Fuenfstueck Paces Cougars at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – Senior Laura Fuenfstueck (Langen, Germany) paces the College of Charleston women's golf team after 36 holes of tournament play at the Bryan National Collegiate on Saturday.
Fuenstueck, who is currently ranked No. 99 in the nation, shot 3-over par in the first round and even par with three birdies in the second round at the par-72 Bryan Park Golf and Enrichment Center. She is tied for 23rd individually at +3 in the 96-player field.
"We gave way too many shots away early today," CofC Head Coach Jamie Futrell said. "While the afternoon round was okay, we were just too far behind in this field after Round 1."
As a team, the Cougars are currently in 17th (+49) in a field that consists of seven Top 25-ranked teams including 11 in the Top 40. No. 3-ranked Alabama is the current leader carding a two-round 573 (-3).
Tomorrow's final round will be an 8:30 a.m. (ET) shotgun start and live tournament scoring will be available at: www.Golfstat.com.
